I have read and reread my posting on 'libs will suffer'. I now have some extra to add. In the part where I stated 'we want the freedom to fail'...'no one to blame for our failure except ME'. I watch these mega companies gobbling up each other. I see HUGE entities singlely monopolizing a particular part of industry. I overheard a conversation the other day, where a bunch of ranchers/farmers had gathered. The ensueing conversation went something like this: (A major farm input supplier speaking) "I would rather have 10 huge farmers on account, than 100 'regular' sized ones." These Huge farmers typically purchase a minimum of 1/2 to over a million in inputs. Well, sure, who wouldnt want that? But on the other hand, who would want to have to deal with one of those "mega farmers" when bankrupcy strikes?. A million dollar 'bath' isn't too fun. I see it every year. The big boys just keep shoving themselves up to the 'craps table'. The competition to 'play' is fierce. I see land and rental rates way up and beyond what production can support. But they keep on throwing the dice anyway. It is like they are playing russian roullete. The last man standing wins it all.
I wonder how much of this mentality goes on in other types of business? Or Gov't for that matter? When there are just a few 'players' out there, competition dies. efficiency gets sloppy. Corruption grows because the watchdogs are 'paid off'. And once the monopoly is in place, any recourse is hardly possible. The 'horse' certainly has fled the barn on this one.
I watched on Christmas week, on how 100 people decided the fate of the Nation. How 1senator was bought off. IF the smoke ever clears after this HUGE debacle, The number crunchers will be forever trying to figure the cost to this Nation. If at all possible. The 'trickle down effects' Both monetarily and Freedom wise, will be enormous. possibly uncalculable.
Today, We The People are at a crossroads. We NOW can see where the roads go. I just hope and pray that the good people of this Country will do something about it.
We MUST vote for our individual freedoms. Which means less Govt. way less.
The 'smoke' is now quite thick in Washington. Flames are growing larger everyday. There is still a chance to 'regain' our control on these dumbasses. And put the collar back on them. WE MUST retake control of the 'leash'.
